The work highlighted the establishment of cell lines from meagre, a commercially valuable yet underexplored aquaculture species, and the integration of circular processes with microalgae for the production of cultivated seafood. This approach represents an important step for cellular aquaculture, while promoting more sustainable, innovative, and resource-efficient solutions for the future of food production.

Within the INOVACEL project, GreenCoLab has been working on the development of microalgae derived ingredients to support the creation of new formulations of Cell Bloom, our serum alternative for cell culture.
