Annual General Meeting of the INOVACEL project

The meeting provided an opportunity to review progress across the project, including ongoing work on marine cell line development, microalgae-based alternatives for animal components in cell culture media, and the reuse and valorisation of the spent culture media within a circular economy approach. Key results achieved so far were discussed, fostering technical alignment and shared reflection among partners.

The session also focused on planning the next phase of the project, including upcoming activities and the preparation of the annual technical and scientific report. Future work will address the environmental and economic performance of the integrated production concept, supporting informed decision-making as the project advances.

The in-person format encouraged open discussion and collaboration, reinforcing coordination and a shared commitment – we are excited to continue driving innovation and sustainability as INOVACEL enters its second year!
