The 3rd Progress Meeting brought together PhytoBloom – Microalgae by Necton, GreenCoLab, Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR) and S2AQUAcoLAB to review the progress of ongoing activities, discuss the results achieved so far, and plan the next stages of the project.
During the meeting, partners reviewed the progress made across the different work areas, from the development of marine cell lines to the evaluation of sustainable alternatives for cell culture media and the valorisation and reuse of these media within a circular economy approach. The session also provided an opportunity to identify the challenges of the upcoming phases and ensure effective coordination across the consortium’s activities.
As the project enters the second half of its implementation, these progress meetings remain essential for maintaining a shared focus on the project’s objectives and continuing to develop innovative solutions that contribute to a more sustainable aquaculture.
